Boxing

An Olympic sport since the Saint Louis Games held in the USA in 1904, boxing has been part of INSEP since 1981. The national squad, which over the years has worked with Olympic champions like Brahim Asloum (2000), Tony Yoka and Estelle Mossely (2016), Olympic silver medallist Sarah Ourahmoune (2016) and the late Alexis Vastine, brings together a group of talented men and women to prepare for the Olympic Games.

Mona MESTIAEN

Multiple champion of France in the lightweight division and member of the national women's boxing team, Mona Mestiaen (27 years old) won two bronze medals on the international stage at the 2018 European championships and the 2017 EU championships. She signed an employment contract exclusively reserved for elite athletes with INSEP in 2019.

Sofiane OUMIHA

Olympic silver medallist in Rio in 2016 in the lightweight division, Sofiane Oumiha (24 years old) won the world title at the amateur championships in Hamburg a year later, thereby becoming the fourth French world champion in the history of amateur boxing. He signed an employment contract exclusively reserved for elite athletes with INSEP in 2019.
