Two-time European champion (2017 and 2019) in the 69 kg class, Bernardin Kingue Matam (29 years old), born in Cameroon and member of the French national squad since 2011, holds the national record at 313 kg and won two bronze medals at the world championships in the total and the clean & jerk.

Anaïs MICHEL

European champion in the 48 kg class in 2017 and European silver medallist the following year, Anaïs Michel (31 years old) trains at INSEP and has been a member of the French national team since 2007. In 2019, she set a new national record in the clean & jerk, lifting 101 kg, and a total for both Olympic lifts of 180 kg. She signed an employment contract exclusively reserved for elite athletes with INSEP in 2019.
