Medical imaging service
Medical imaging constitutes an essential tool to treat sports injuries. The INSEP medical imaging EIG is managed by a group of radiologists renowned in sports medicine, including Dr Jérôme Renoux, who regularly works with PSG football club. The centre is currently equipped to provide four kinds of diagnostic imaging:
- radiography
- MRI scans
- ultrasound
- bone densitometry (dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry).
The next generation 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner makes it possible to make even more precise diagnoses thanks to the high quality of images the machine is able to take of the whole body and a significantly reduced exam time.
